Has life pulled you off your center in ways you didn’t expect? Have you found yourself wondering how to come back to the feeling of home within, when the ground has genuinely shifted?
I understand this deeply. Even with years of practice, life still happens- and there is no way to know how our system will respond. What I’ve learned is that returning doesn’t require more. It requires space. Care. And the support of community.
I’ve created a New Year’s retreat on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica as a pause, a recalibration, and a return.
I’ve created a New Year’s retreat on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica as a pause, a recalibration, and a return. From January 2–9, 2027, you’re invited to A New Year’s hOMecoming, a week devoted to returning to your inherent ground through embodied practices, shared presence, beautiful scenery and intentional space.
This retreat isn’t about becoming something new. It’s about releasing what’s unnecessary so you can begin the year grounded, clear, and at ease.
Imagine waking without urgency.
Movement arising from breath rather than instruction.
Silence that doesn’t feel empty, but complete. Days unfold without agenda. There is time to sit, to walk, to wander between moments without needing to improve or name them. The body remembers how to soften. The nervous system begins to trust the rhythm again.
There is warmth, water, and a sense of being held- by nature, by place, by the people around you. Conversation happens easily, without performance. Laughter comes and goes. Long pauses feel nourishing rather than awkward. What you may usually touch briefly in practice is given room to become a lived experience.

Meet Your Retreat Leader, Soozie
Soozie has been guiding unique experiences on the mat for eighteen years. She has curated her brand over the last six years, pulling from various Eastern traditions like Yoga, Hinduism, Buddhism, Sufism, and Taoism. She incorporates modalities that deepen one's connection to all parts of their being: mantra and devotion for the heart, qi gong for the emotions and energy, vinyāsa for strength and play, and yoga nidrā meditation to calm the nervous system. She loves educating and sharing essential oils in her classes from her massage and bodywork background. Soozie teaches her students to trust and listen within and to the guidance of nature, life, and Spirit.

We are working diligently with all of our centers to establish clear and proper protocols in response to COVID-19:
• Tracking measures taken by health authorities in Puerto Rico
• Securing detailed information on preventative measures being implemented in response to COVID-19
• Establishing guidelines for pre-retreat communication to ensure all participants feel informed and supported before travel
• Updating medical emergency plans of action to include COVID-19
• Communicating with on-the-ground partners for real-time updates regarding the realities and conditions within the local community

If someone tests positive at the end of the retreat, the center will work with the participant to create a plan of action for their quarantine. In some cases based on availability, they may be able to stay on-site or they may need to relocate to another location to complete the quarantine.
We highly encourage the purchase of travel insurance to help mitigate the costs of any healthcare, quarantine, and additional travel expenses that may occur during this scenario. Please check with the insurance company to confirm what is covered.
